Getting to Homer and Halibut Cove Lodge
Homer is located on the southwestern Kenai Peninsula on the north shore of Kachemak Bay. It is 226 scenic highway miles from Anchorage or a 40-minute jet flight from Anchorage. You can rent a car or take a scheduled shuttle service from Anchorage and to Homer. Should you decide to rent a car the there is no chance of getting lost as you can take only two major highways, the Seward Highway and the Sterling Highway.
Upon your arrival in Homer, you will board a water taxi for a 25-35 minute boat ride across the bay to Halibut Cove Lodge. The cost of this water taxi is included when booking your package at the lodge.

- Scheduled bus service offered by the Homer Stage Line for approximately $120 roundtrip.
- Roundtrip commercial flight to/from Anchorage and Homer on ERA Aviation. Roundtrip tickets cost between $250-$300 per person.
- Rental car pickup and drop off in Anchorage International Airport. Cost per day is approximately $60-$70 plus taxes and fees for a mid-size car.
